Roamzy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Roamzy LLC ("Roamzy," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Roamzy app for iPhone and related websites and online services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use the Services, and the choices you have.

Roamzy does not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Some links to hotels and activities are sponsored, as described in Section 4. Roamzy requires a free account: your trips are saved to your account, and a copy is kept on your iPhone so they work offline.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

Trips. The trips you create, including destinations, dates, stops, places, bookings (such as flight numbers, airports, seats, reservation times, and confirmation numbers), notes, and packing lists.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Your password is stored by our authentication provider in hashed form, and we cannot see it. When you create an account with your email address, we also record the version of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy you agreed to and when you agreed.

AI use records. When you use an AI feature, we record the date and time of that use with your account, so we can apply the monthly limit on AI features.

Content you submit. Links, text, photos, and screenshots you choose to add to the app, for example a link to a travel video or a screenshot of a booking confirmation.

Messages. If you contact us, we collect your email address and the contents of your message.

Information from Apple and Google

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, your email address, and an identifier for your account from that service. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, we receive a private relay address instead. We never receive your Apple or Google password.

Information collected automatically

Location. If you choose "Current location" in Explore and allow location access, Roamzy uses your device's location to show places near you. We do not store your location. You can turn off location access at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

Log information. When the app connects to our servers and service providers, those systems automatically record information such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, and error details.

Information stored on your device. While you are signed in, the app keeps a copy of your trips on your iPhone so they are available offline, along with your settings, recent place results and destination photos, and your AI permission choice. Your sign-in session is stored securely in your iPhone's Keychain. When you sign out, your trips are removed from your iPhone; they stay in your account.

We do not access your contacts or calendar. Roamzy can see only the individual photos you choose, not your photo library. We do not collect payment information.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide and maintain the Services, including saving your trips and showing maps, places, photos, opening hours, and directions;
  • create and manage your account, sign you in, and send account emails, such as email confirmations and password resets;
  • save your trips to your account, so they are backed up and available on any iPhone you sign in to;
  • provide the AI features you choose to use;
  • respond to your questions and feedback;
  • keep the Services secure and prevent fraud and abuse; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use your information to train artificial intelligence models.

3. AI Features

Roamzy offers optional features powered by artificial intelligence. AI features require a free Roamzy account and are limited to a number of uses each month. The first time you use one, Roamzy asks for your permission and explains what will be shared. Nothing is sent to an AI provider unless you allow it and use an AI feature.

Feature What is sent Provider
Import places The link, page text, video, caption, screenshots, or text you add, with your trip's name, cities, and number of days Anthropic; for videos, OpenAI converts speech to text
Optimize day That day's places, bookings, times, and opening hours Anthropic
Booking screenshots The screenshot you add, with your trip's dates Anthropic

If you choose not to allow AI features or have no AI uses left, booking screenshots are read on your device instead.

When you import a TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube video, our server retrieves the video and extracts its audio and a few still images to send to these providers. Temporary copies are deleted as soon as the request is complete, and we do not keep the video, audio, images, or the AI's responses on our servers. If a request fails, our error logs may record the link you added and a short error message.

Anthropic and OpenAI process this content on our behalf. Under their terms for business customers, they do not use it to train their models, and they may keep it for a limited time under their own policies, for example to monitor for abuse.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as described below.

Service providers

We work with companies that help us run the Services. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

Provider What they do for us
Supabase Accounts and trip backup
Google Cloud Hosting for our server
Anthropic AI features
OpenAI Speech-to-text for imported videos
Resend Sending account emails

Maps, places, and photos

To show maps, places, and photos, the app connects directly to these services, which receive your IP address and the details needed for each request:

  • Apple Maps receives place searches, directions requests, and your location when you choose "Current location."
  • Google Places receives the names and locations of places in your trips and in Explore results, to show photos, details, and opening hours. When you search near your current location, these results are near you.
  • Unsplash receives your trip's destination to find a cover photo.
  • Websites you link to. When you add a link to import places, the app loads that page directly.

Links to other websites

Roamzy links to other websites, including Google Flights, Google Search, Booking.com, and GetYourGuide. These links may include your trip's destination and dates to start your search, but never your name, email address, or other trip details. Some links let us earn a commission if you book. Information you give those websites is governed by their privacy policies.

Other sharing

We may also share information:

  • when you choose to, for example when you share an itinerary PDF;
  • if required by law or legal process, or to respond to lawful requests from public authorities;
  • to protect the rights, safety, and property of Roamzy, our users, or others; and
  • as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, in which case this Privacy Policy will continue to apply to your information.

5. Cookies

The Roamzy app does not use cookies or tracking technologies, and our web pages do not set cookies. If you sign in with Google, Google and our authentication provider may use cookies in the sign-in window to complete your sign-in. When you follow a link to another website, such as a sponsored link to Booking.com or GetYourGuide, that website may use its own cookies, for example to record that you came from Roamzy. Those cookies are governed by that website's policies.

6. How Long We Keep Information

  • On your device. A copy of your trips stays on your iPhone while you are signed in. Signing out or deleting the app removes it from your iPhone. Deleted trips move to Recently deleted and are permanently removed after 30 days.
  • In your account. We keep your account information and backed-up trips while your account is active. Trips you permanently delete are also deleted from your account.
  • AI requests. We do not keep content sent for AI features after the request is complete.
  • Logs. Our service providers keep logs for a limited time.

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile > Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and your trips, in your account and on your iPhone. You can also ask us to delete your account by emailing support@goroamzy.com, and we will do so within 30 days, unless we are required to keep information by law.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. Data is encrypted in transit between the app and our services, your sign-in session is stored in your iPhone's Keychain, and each account can access only its own trips. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

8. Your Choices and Rights

AI features. Content is sent to AI providers only when you use an AI feature. You can decline the permission request.

Location. You can turn off location access at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@goroamzy.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, for example by asking you to write from the email address on your account.

State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other states, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we have about you and get a copy of it;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling (we do not do any of these); and
  • not be treated differently for using these rights.

To use these rights, email support@goroamzy.com. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows, and we may ask the agent for proof of authority. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response with the subject line "Privacy Appeal."

California. In the past 12 months, we have collected identifiers (such as your name, email address, and IP address), records you create (such as trips and bookings), network activity (such as server logs), location (only when you use "Current location," and not stored), and photos, screenshots, and video audio you choose to add. We collect this information from you, your device, and the sign-in service you choose, for the purposes in Section 2, and share it as described in Section 4. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, including the information of anyone under 16. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

9. Where We Process Information

Roamzy is intended for users in the United States. We and our service providers process and store information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

10. Children

Roamzy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top. If we make important changes, we will let you know in the app before they take effect.

12. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your information, email us at support@goroamzy.com.
